　　Hydrostatic Release Unit series JSQ is an important lifesaving equipment of ships and floating constructions. When the ship in distress sinks it can release inflatable life-raft automatically (type JSQ-D) and radio indicator for emergency (type JSQ-DA), so as to protect lives for the passengers on the ship and make the radio indicator works normally.
　  Hydrostatic Release Unit made in our factory is a kind of patented product. It has been type approved by China Classification Society, and it is complied with the standards of the SOLAS (1974), its Amendment (1996), and all the laws and regulations of the Register of Shipping of the People’s Republic of China. 　　2. Structure:
   Type D and DA Hydrostatic Release Units have the same structures basically. The main difference between them is the part broken (weak link) while release: Type D is metalloid connecting rope, and Type DA is plastic screw pole.    
　　3. Installation and Operation
Please check the following two points before operation:
Expiry date marked (year and month): (concerning expiry date marked, see section 4 of this instruction.)
Mark of type approval of CCS.
Install and operate the hydrostatic release after confirming the above points are complete and valid.
Release automatically:
　　　Hydrostatic release unit can cut off the connecting rope automatically at the depth of 1.5~4m in the sea so as to release the life-raft. Then, owing to being pulled tightly of the cable, the life-raft is started the process of inflating. At last, the weak link is broken, and the life-raft leave the ship body completely.
Release by hand control:
　　　Open the weak link to put down the life-raft. Then, owing to being pulled tightly of the cable, the life-raft is started the process of inflating. At last, cut off the cable by hand, and the life-raft leaves the ship body completely.
